June is almost here, WE'RE DOOMED

June bugs. They might be the most hated insect second to the spider. As I type this I'm listening to them bounce off of my window like the dumb little goobers they are.

Since June bugs are so hated, I decided to take it upon myself to learn a little more about them. Just because.

Warning: You will be grossed out.

- Before they fly into mouth/face/hair, June bugs were once little white maggot-like grubs that hibernated in your yard's soil for 2-3 years.

- Sometimes, skunks and pigs go digging for pre-mature white maggot-like June bugs. Although I doubt pigs were munching out on YOUR lawn. If they were, that's pretty awesome.

- Scientifically June bugs are titled Phyllophaga. I dare you to call them that for the whole month of June!

- If you don't smoosh a June bug to death yourself, it will probably die the next day. They can't live for too long in the daylight (VAMPIRE BUGS!?)

- Sometimes, female flies lay eggs on the backs of June bugs. The June bugs can't reach the egg, which slowly takes over the Junebugs insides and grows from in there. What a way to die, eh? That's gross.

Hate 'em, or love 'em. June bugs clearly have a pretty awful and uneventful life. Together let's be thankful they are only around for a month.. And slay them as efficiently as possible.

Sad times, sad-der songs.

I have a little bit of a broken heart right now so I've compiled some of what I think are the best break up songs.

I'm a sap.

Real life Donkey Kong!

The new zip lining park in Windsor was nothing like I expected.

I thought I'd clip on to the zip line, and just zip all day. It was more like bootcamp in the tree tops. You have to go through a series of obstacles in order to get to the zip line. Challenging at points but TONS of fun! I want to go back ASAP.

The park opens to the public on May 1st. It's $35 for a training session + 3 hours in the park. Totally worth it.
