Alabama, Arkensas, I do love my ma and pa, not the way that I do love youuuuuuu.
The bubbly love tune from Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zero's seemed to catch on like wild fire 2 years ago.
I got the chance to see them live at Osheaga 2010. At the time I had only heard "Home" and was watching the show from a mile away on a hill. Frontman Alexander Ebert seemed like the happiest man alive on stage. The band liked playing a little too much and went over their timeslot. Osheaga personnell went on stage and told them it was time to wrap up their set. Snoop Dogg was up next, lol.
Watching the band from afar was enough to get me into their debut album "Up From Below." To be honest, I didn't fall in love with it at all. It fell a little short for me.
But after hearing this tune, perhaps there's hope for me to fall back in love like on that hill in Montreal.
Their new album "Here" is out on May 29th. This is the first track, "Man On Fire."
